General Information

We have enclosed information based on the most commonly asked questions about planning a wedding at the Brandon Inn. As you progress in the planning process, we will be happy to provide any additional information that you may require.

Ceremony Arrangements

Wedding ceremonies may take place here at the Brandon Inn (near the grand staircase, in the ballroom, in the gazebo), at one of the local churches or by a Justice of the Peace, in a covered bridge, or at one of the many historical/pastoral settings in Brandon. If desired, we will assist you with finalizing the ceremony location and make recommendations for music, floral and photographic needs.

Food and Beverage Arrangements

Enclosed are menu suggestions as well as pricing. We encourage you to advise us of your selections at your earliest convenience and no later than 14 days prior to your wedding date. A final guest count must be provided 3 days prior to the event. This will be considered your minimum group guarantee. Your bill may be adjusted if additional guests are served. Meals for photographers, band members, etc. will be an additional charge.

Restrictions

No food or beverage may be brought from the outside. Exceptions must be approved in advance and will be subject to plating and corkage fees.

Throwing of rice, glitter, confetti, or bubbles is NOT permitted either inside or on hotel grounds.

Out of consideration for our staff, six hours is allocated for the reception, with extended hours by arrangement.

General Information

Facility/Coordination Fee

The $1,500 facility/coordination fee applies to all functions of 75 or more guests. The fee will be pro-rated for smaller functions. If a wedding reception includes more than 75 guests, the bride and groom will receive complimentary use of the bridal suite for the night of the wedding.

Room Requirements

A block of rooms can be held to guarantee wedding guests have rooms and in this case a contract between the Inn and a Wedding representative is drawn up. It is not required that the wedding party books all the guest rooms for the week-end.

Taxes and Gratuities

9% Vermont meals and rooms tax, 10% alcohol tax, and 15% gratuity will be added to all functions.

Damage/Theft Deposit

A $500 refundable deposit may be required prior to the event.

Payment

A $1,500 deposit is required to reserve the date.  The deposit is refundable with a 90 day advance notice providing the date is rebooked with a comparable party.  We accept personal checks or cashier’s checks for payment of the final bill but no credit cards. Payment is due at the end of the evening or the next morning at the discretion of the Inn.

We look forward to working with you to assure that your dream wedding will become a reality.
